Overview

Annaghkeen Cottages are three beautifully renovated self catering apartments, nestling in a small townland on the shores of world famous Lough Corrib.

We are located approximately four miles from the town of Headford, and 16 miles from the city of Galway. Here you will find the perfect blend of country life, but within easy reach of the lively and friendly city of Galway.

Laundry room with Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer, sink for cleaning fish etc. and chest freezer.

Home cooked meals and packed lunches available on request. Dogs welcome.

Area Information

Location - About Headford

The small town of Headford is located four miles from Annaghkeen. This would be the nearest place to get supplies. Here also is a branch of Bank of Ireland and ATM machines. Post Office, Supermarket, Garages and fishing tackle supplies. There are pubs and bars here, many of which have regular sessions of traditional Irish music.

From the town of Headford - Take the turning by Joyces Supermarket towards "Claran" and "Lough Corrib". Follow this road down for about three miles until you come to sharp turn to the right signposted "Greenfields". Do not follow this road but continue straight on past the old shop for another mile. After a crossroad you will see a new thatched cottage on the left, drive past this and past a row of bungalows. Annaghkeen Cottages are on the left. There is a sign outside.

Fishing

Lough Corrib, the largest lake in the state covers 44,000 acres. It extends from Galway City to Maam in Connemara, a distance of thirty five miles approximately.

The vast expanse of water remains unrivalled in Europe for it's variety of scenery and amenities.
