Situated in the vale of Avoca, Woodenbridge hotel and lodge blends all the charm of yester year with all the amenities expected of the modern hotel.  Established in 1608, this is the oldest hotel in Ireland. The hotel overlooks the amazing vale of Avoca and the beautiful Woodenbridge golf club.

Room Information

Accommodation is divided between the hotel and the lodge. The hotel is the older part and nine of its rooms have their own balconies overlooking some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland. The lodge is the more modern part of the hotel, with twenty of its rooms boasting there very own balconies.

The Redmond restaurant has won an AA Rosette award every year from 1995. The Redmond restaurant combines the best of contemporary cuisine with traditional Irish.  There is also an excellent wine cellar home to a comprehensive variety of vintages from all over the world.

Area Information

The hotel sits in the Vale of Avoca. The Vale begins at a confluence between the Avonmore and Avonbeg where they form the Avoca. There is a small village of the same name, where you can visit the famous Avoca mill and see an example of the handweaving craft which has made the place famous. You can also stroll along the riverbanks, or take a trip up the valley to see if you can catch a glimpse of some local wildlife.

Travelling from Dublin (approx. 1 hour) Travelling south from Dublin on the N11 , to Arklow , take a right at the roundabout at the top of Arklow Town down the R747 which leads directly to the Hotel.
