Located only 15 minutes from Belfast City Centre and 5 minutes from Bangor, Co. Down the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel has a wealth of beautiful countryside and a variety of activities right on its doorstep, the perfect choice for midweek and weekend breaks in Down Northern Ireland.  The Cooley Peninsula was once a part of the historical Province of Ulster the Peninsula lies in County Louth. It's a place of fresh green hillsides, woodland, mountains and myths. This was also the home of the giant Finn McCool. The Mourne Mountains, made popular by a song by Percy French has made The Mournes the best known mountains in Ireland. Slieve Donard is the largest of the mountains and from the top you can see the Isle of Man, the full length of Strangford Lough and Lough Neagh.   Ring Of Gullion is a circle of hills in the shadow of Slieve Gullion and home to the mythic warrior Cuchulainn. They enclose a cultural landscape of small farmsteads rich in legend with a multitude of historic monuments.
