Westport is home to a lot of pubs, cafés and restaurants, where you are sure to find something to suit all tastes. Many of Westport’s eateries use only fresh ingredients, including fish caught from the Atlantic.

Area Information

Augusta Lodge is situated just a 5-minute stroll from the centre of Westport. Westport has its fair share of Pubs, with many hosting live music nightly. You can shop till you drop, in the many craft, clothing and gift shops in town. Westport Leisure Centre is just 1 Km away and features a public swimming pool and gym. There are also several blue flag beaches near by. Mayo is well known for its lake and sea fishing and boats are easy to hire on a daily or weekly basis. There are many mountain, coastal and nature trails for walking enthusiasts such as "Croagh Patrick", Irelands "Holy mountain" which sees 25,000 people climb it on reek Sunday. Golfing, cycling, horse riding, surfing, karting, ten-pin bowling, sailing, otter watching and sea cruises to the islands are all available locally.
