scenery of Strangford Lough the Old
Schoolhouse Inn is a superb place to
stay, relax and enjoy your stay in
Northern Ireland.
Its
15 years since we opened the Old Schoolhouse
Inn and many a memorable and enjoyable
meal has been had in our award winning
restaurant since then.
Some 5 years ago we opened our hostelry to guests from near and far, greeting
them and inviting them to stay in our excellent accommodation.
A friendly face, a good meal and a comfortable bed for the night, just the
ingredients required for the businessman and weary traveller alike to enjoy
their stay with us.

Restaurant
The
restaurant is located in the Old Schoolhouse
building
which is full of character
and ambience.
It is widely regarded as one
of Northern Ireland's greatest restaurants.
Award-winning
80 cover restaurant full of old world charm,
serving French cuisine de Granmére style.
Chef Avril bases her cooking on traditional
methods but regularly experiments with
new combinations of seasonal fresh produce.
Full A la carte and fixed price menu available, excellent wine list and all major
credit cards accepted.
Dinner from 7.00 p.m. nightly; Lunch (Sunday only) 12.30 - 3.00 p.m. Restaurant
is listed in "A Taste of Ulster Guide".

Taking
the Newtonards Road out of Belfast, take the
A22 road to Comber, turning right at the end
of that road and following signs for Castle
Espie. We are situated a half mile past Castle
Espie at 100 Ballydrain Road.
