The San Antonio Bed and Breakfast is on the edge of Kilkenny City. Kilkenny City began as a medieval settlement and there are a number of historical sites for Irish history fans to enjoy. Kilkenny Castle and Gardens including the Butler Gallery, St. Canice's Cathedral and round tower, Rothe House and Garden, Shee Arms House, Grace's Courthouse, St. Mary's Cathedral can all be reached in a short time by car. Kilkenny is home to a host of activities including golf, fishing and equestrian. The famous Mount Juliet championship golf course, where the prestigious American Express Golf Championship was hosted in September 2002, is just fifteen minutes from the City.
