Hotel Overview

Built in 1913, Ard Na Sidhe Country House is a Victorian style manor house, which has been converted into an intimate hotel. It is set on one of Kerry’s most famous lakes, the majestic Caragh lake. “Ard na Sidhe”, or “Hill of the Fairies” is named after the mystical fairy fort which you’ll find if you take a stroll to the west of the house.

Ard na Sidhe offers 18 Bedrooms in total, with 3 Main House Superior Rooms, 7 Main House Standard Rooms, 2 Garden House Superior Rooms, 6 Garden House Standard Rooms. Ard na Sidhe is a complete escape, and therefore doesn’t have televisions, radios or high speed internet in its gracious bedrooms. The hotel does however feature the crispest Irish linens, full feather pillows, deep mattresses and antique furniture.

Area Information

Hill of the Fairies fairy fort is a short walk away. The hotel is situated on the peaceful banks of Caragh Lake. The hotel is within the Ring of Kerry, the popular tourist route which includes Muckross House, Staigue stone fort and Derrynane House, home of Daniel O'Connell.

Map & Directions

In Killorglin, follow the signs to the top of the town and turn left in front of the Garda Barracks, along Langford Street. Continue out this road, following the signs for Caragh Lake. In Caragh Village, fork left opposite the school and continue along this windy road for a couple of miles and Ard na Sidhe is on your right hand side.
