Named after Dublin's most famous pilot, politician & avid connoisseur of Guinness.
Oliver St John Gogarty spent many nights, exuding his customary wit in this very haunt.

Situated in Temple Bar, the Heart of Dublin.

Our motto is simple, good food, freshly prepared. With prices ranging from 7 euro to 38 euro we have something for everybody.

Whatever your mood, sit back and enjoy a culinary journey through our extensive, freshly produced and where possible locally sourced selection of dishes.

Our freshly produced, mouth watering starters include local favourites, such as Dublin Bay Mussels served in a herb cream and white wine sauce, or why not indulge yourself with our succulent thinly sliced smoked salmon served with homemade brown bread. For the true seafood lovers why not enjoy our freshly prepared cocktail of prawns, cockles, mussels and salmon served with a wild Irish mushroom and seafood sauce. Or simply treat yourself to a half dozen Aranmore Oysters prepared in their shell on a bed of ice and lemon?
For those with tastes less aquatic let us tempt with our spiced beef, traditional potato cakes, duck pate, or the famous Dublin dish, Coddle (sausage, bacon, carrot, potato, onion and cream), these dishes are just a flavour of the fresh and delicious starters available in Gogartys.

The soup menu changes according to season but we pride ourselves on old favourites such as our seafood chowder or chicken broth
For the traditionalists amongst you, try our Irish stew or the ever-popular bacon and cabbage? Our delicious fillet steaks with crushed garlic and pepper will satisfy even the greatest appetite, or why not try our poached salmon with lobster and prawn sauce? Our stuffed rack of Wicklow lamb is always a winner while the fillet of sea trout with almonds and butter is truly delicious, or spoil yourself with our famous ‘Martello lobster, served with mussels, and scallops in a seafood sauce

Don’t deprive yourself of life’s simple pleasures and choose from our decadent range of homemade desserts or perhaps an Irish cheese platter. All we can say is, Run, don't walk, to Gogartys and enjoy the fruits of our labours, share our passion for good food prepared from fresh ingredients.

The Oliver St Gogarty restaurant is known world wide for its unique Irish atmosphere and friendly staff. With dishes like Trinity College Chicken, whose origins go back to the 180's and Ester Dunne's Potato Cakes, origins date back to 1857.

Situated in Temple Bar, the Heart of Dublin.
Temple Bar itself is a network of narrow cobbled 18th century streets between the liffey and
Dame St. running from the Halfpenny Bridge, through Merchants Arch, Essex St. and Anglesea St.

The Oliver St Gogarty's restaurant is open to the public daily from 12 noon until late. Reservations can be made for lunch and dinner and we give special discounts for large groups.

Gogarty's Restaurant is the ideal location for those looking for a friendly atmosphere and great food.
Our chefs cater for a wide variety of tastes including vegetarians.

And when you have eaten your fill you can mellow out to the sound of the Traditional Irish Musicians in the downstairs bar.
