Oliver St John Gogarty spent many nights, exuding his customary wit in this very
haunt.
Situated in Temple
Bar, the Heart of Dublin.
Our motto is simple, good food, freshly
prepared. With prices ranging from 7 euro to
38 euro we have something for everybody.
Whatever your mood, sit back and enjoy a
culinary journey through our extensive,
freshly produced and where possible locally
sourced selection of dishes.
Our
freshly produced, mouth watering starters include
local favourites, such as Dublin Bay Mussels served in
a herb cream and white wine sauce, or why not indulge
yourself with our succulent thinly sliced smoked
salmon served with homemade brown bread. For the true
seafood lovers why not enjoy our freshly prepared
cocktail of prawns, cockles, mussels and salmon served
with a wild Irish mushroom and seafood sauce. Or
simply treat yourself to a half dozen Aranmore Oysters
prepared in their shell on a bed of ice and lemon?
For those with tastes less aquatic let us tempt with
our spiced beef, traditional potato cakes, duck pate,
or the famous Dublin dish, Coddle (sausage, bacon,
carrot, potato, onion and cream), these dishes are
just a flavour of the fresh and delicious starters
available in Gogartys.
The soup menu changes according to season but we pride
ourselves on old favourites such as our seafood
chowder or chicken broth
For the traditionalists amongst you, try our Irish
stew or the ever-popular bacon and cabbage? Our
delicious fillet steaks with crushed garlic and pepper
will satisfy even the greatest appetite, or why not
try our poached salmon with lobster and prawn sauce?
Our stuffed rack of Wicklow lamb is always a winner
while the fillet of sea trout with almonds and butter
is truly delicious, or spoil yourself with our famous
‘Martello lobster, served with mussels, and scallops
in a seafood sauce

of homemade desserts or perhaps an Irish

Oliver St Gogarty restaurant is known
world wide for its unique Irish atmosphere
and friendly staff. With dishes like Trinity College Chicken, whose origins go back to the 180's
and Ester Dunne's Potato Cakes, origins date back to 1857.

cobbled 18th century streets between the liffey
and
Dame St. running from the Halfpenny Bridge, through Merchants Arch, Essex St.
and Anglesea St.
The Oliver St Gogarty's restaurant is open to the public daily from 12 noon until
late. Reservations can be made for lunch and dinner and we give special discounts
for large groups.
Gogarty's Restaurant is the ideal location for those looking for
a friendly atmosphere
and great food.
Our chefs cater for a wide variety of tastes including vegetarians.
And when you have eaten your fill you can mellow out to the sound of the Traditional
Irish Musicians in the downstairs bar.
