Area Information
Murrays Bed & Breakfast is a few minutes away from Portumna. There are several historical sites in the town including Portumna Bridge, Portumna Castle and the Portumna Union Workhouse, which was built in 1850 to house 600 inmates who were badly affected by the lack of both employment and food. Portumna Forest Park is an excellent place to spend an afternoon and there are plenty of facilities to keep boaters, golfers and anglers busy.
