Three miles
south of Mullingar, on the shores of Lough Enell,
rests the Kelly's Organic Dairy Farm. Gerry
and his parents have farmed here since 1967.
In 2000, decisions were made to develop it as an organic
dairy farm and a Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast. To date, there
are about 15 organic dairy farms in Ireland so it was a huge
turning point for the family.
All of our
grasslands are rich in clover and so many herbs that it
gives a truly lush, soft and floral flavour to the milk and
this contributes to the rich texture and flavour of these
artisan farmhouse products. All herbs and rennet used in our
cheese making are organic and vegetarian. Our products are
free from any preservatives and artificial colours of any
kind.....just pure fresh organic milk.
