This is an excellent area for birdwatching, fishing and walking. Lying 1 km off the shores of Maghery Country Park, Coney Island has a rich history, with evidence of human occupation dating back to 8000 years BC. The island is owned by the National Trust and regular boat trips on the Trostan are available at the weekend from Maghery Country Park.
