The Port Hotel is situated in the heart of Portrush. Some of the area’s main attractions include Portrush Countryside Centre, the Bushmills Distillery, "The coastal zone", the Dunluce Centre, Carrick A Rede Rope Bridge, the Giants Causeway, Waterworld swimming complex and The Royal Portrush Golf Club, which hosted the 1951 British Open golf championship. There are also two long sandy beaches in the town, known as the West and East Strand.
