The Abbey was originally a manor house owned by the Burke family and became a
hotel in 1963. The hotel has retained its historic charm while providing every
modern convenience to its guests.
Currently owned by Tom and Anya Grealy, it has an excellent reputation
for courteous and personal service in luxurious surroundings. Since
1860 the Grealy family
have been in the Inn Keeping business, originally at Grealys Hotel in Church
St Roscommon, which was known as "The Hotel".
